Our sangha is supported by the financial generosity of those who participate. The practice of offering gifts is called dana.
The word dana means ‘sharing,’ and our community has decided to exist according to this ancient gift economic model rather than the capitalist ‘fee for service’ model. The buddha is reputed to have said that sharing offers the one who shares three opportunities to experience joy: in the contemplation of sharing; in the act of sharing; in the remembrance of having shared.
Our sangha operates on a dana basis, so that we can all experience the positive benefits of giving and receiving.
Empty Mountain Sangha also offers the opportunity to sign up for a monthly sustaining membership. You can enroll for a membership for $9, $18, $27 or $36 per month. As a 501 (c) (3) public charity, all contributions made to Empty Mountain Sangha are tax deductible. Our ID # is 45-5354551
